New York ,NY -Luminaries from the world of fashion and film will be flocking to attend the third annual Cannes Global Short Film Awards Gala and Luxury Shows during the 71st Annual Cannes Film Festival.The event wii be held at the luxurious Intercontinental Carlton Cannes on the famed Boulevard La Croisette on Saturday May 19,2018 from 7:30 PM to midnight.Tickets:bit.ly/cannes-gala.
“This will be an unforgetable evening of film,fashion and entertainment says GSF Awards Founder and Director Andres Aquino.”The Global Short Film Awards will celebrate this year’s awards-winning films in multiple subject categories including drama,animation,sci-fi,fashion dance and social concems.”
The black-tie awards gala will also include a runway preview of deasonal collections by JAL Fashion by Chirawan Lewis,Pure Elegance by Pama Ghose,Thuyet Le and Andres Aquino.Tickets include red carpet photo ops,champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception,gourmet dinner with wine,world-class entertainment,music and dancing.
Special guest Franc D’Ambrosio will receve a Lifetime Achievement award and perform some of the iconic songsfrom Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Phantom of the Opera”.Mr.D’Ambrosio starred in the title role in the long-running Broadway production,with over 2600 performances.He has also appeared in Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather 3 and many other films and productions.
Also partecipating during the Cannes event will be soprano Alexandra Hrabova,young Romanian singing sensation Doinita Ionita,award-winning Romanian dinger Raisandra,pianist Prince Igor,soprano Valeria Florencio and tenor David Paez,along with European headliner DJ Kocelia Chougar.A fine art exhibit by Anita de Leeuw will top off the fashionable and fabulous festivities.
